Where to buy a Labubu in Switzerland (no customs fees)

Looking for a Labubu from Switzerland raises a problem EU buyers never face: most online shops ship from the European Union or from Asia, and Switzerland is part of neither. As a result, the price you pay on arrival bears little resemblance to the one shown at checkout. Here is how to navigate it.

The advertised-price trap: what a foreign parcel really costs

Switzerland is not in the EU. Every parcel from abroad therefore clears customs, and three lines get added to the product price.

First, Swiss import VAT — 8.1 % at the standard rate. Second, and usually the most painful, the customs clearance fee charged by the carrier: depending on whether it is the Post or an express courier, it ranges from a few francs to several dozen. Third, any customs duties depending on the nature of the goods.

In practice, a figure listed at €30 on a European site can cost you noticeably more once it arrives. On an item under 50 francs, handling fees sometimes weigh as much as the product itself — a calculation many buyers only run after delivery.

Coop, Migros, Manor: can you find Labubu in supermarkets?

Many Swiss buyers ask this, and it deserves a straight answer rather than a sales pitch. Pop Mart distributes its figures through its own channels: brand stores, vending machines and the official website. General retail is not among them.

Chains do occasionally carry licensed items or merchandise from adjacent universes, but those are not the Pop Mart series collectors are looking for. Before buying off a shelf, check for the Pop Mart logo and the authentication card: that is what separates an official figure from an inspired-by product.

In practice, buying in Switzerland therefore goes through an online reseller — which makes choosing one properly all the more important.

Buying from Switzerland: the real options

Pop Mart operates no physical store in Switzerland. The brand's vending machines, widespread across Asia and in a few major European cities, do not cover Swiss territory either.

That leaves three routes. Resellers established in Switzerland, shipping domestically: no customs, no handling fee, prices shown in francs. That is our case, from Geneva.

European shops, seemingly cheaper but subject to the import costs described above. And the second-hand market among Swiss collectors, valuable for sold-out series, but with no guarantee and no recourse.

Geneva, Lausanne, Zurich: the delivery question

A parcel posted within Switzerland travels on the Post's domestic network. Delivery is counted in working days rather than weeks, and tracking stays legible from dispatch to letterbox.

That is the most concrete difference from a foreign order: no customs hold, no collection notice demanding an extra payment before the parcel is handed over.

We ship across Switzerland — Geneva, Vaud, Valais, Zurich, Bern, Ticino — from our Geneva base.

Authenticity: the precaution that comes before price

The Labubu market is heavily counterfeited. Collectors call these copies « Lafufu »; some now reproduce the packaging and the authentication card.

Three checks remain reliable: the number of teeth — exactly nine on a genuine piece —, the authentication QR code, which must activate for the first time when you open the box, and the finish of the vinyl face, almost always cruder on a copy.

We detail each check in our dedicated guide. One piece of advice that holds across Switzerland: on a sought-after item, a price far below market is never a bargain — it is a signal.

Blind box or guaranteed colourway?

The blind box keeps its original principle: the box is opaque and the colourway is drawn at random from the series. That is what makes collecting addictive, but you do not choose.

Alongside it, some formats are sold with a guaranteed colourway — you order a specific colour and receive that one. That is the case with our plush keychains, available in Soymilk, Lychee Berry, Green Grape, Sea Salt Coconut, Toffee and Sesame Bean.

For gifting, a guaranteed colourway avoids disappointment. For collecting, the blind box keeps all of its appeal.
