Where to buy a Labubu in France without getting caught out

Finding a Labubu in France has become something of an obstacle course: Pop Mart releases sell out within minutes, and the secondary market has filled with copies. This article honestly compares the available channels — their prices, their risks, and what you can do when things go wrong.
The four buying channels, compared
The first channel is Pop Mart directly — stores, vending machines and the official website. It is the safest on authenticity and the cheapest at launch price. The problem is availability: sought-after series run out within minutes, and not everyone has a store nearby.
The second is specialist resellers, ourselves included. The price is above launch price — that is the trade-off for sourcing and immediate stock — but the product is available and the counterpart identifiable.
The third is the large general marketplaces. That is where the risk is highest: anyone can open a shop there, and copies circulate massively under official imagery.
The fourth is second-hand between collectors. Excellent for rare pieces and sold-out series, but with no guarantee whatsoever: you buy on judgement, on the seller's reputation.
Why « Lafufu » are a real problem
Collectors call Labubu counterfeits « Lafufu ». They are no longer crude: some reproduce the packaging, the authentication card and even the holographic sticker.
Three signals remain reliable. The number of teeth — a real Labubu has exactly nine. The authentication QR code, which must activate for the first time when you open a new box. And the quality of the vinyl face finish, which copies almost always render more crudely.
We detail each of these checks, with photographs, in our dedicated guide to spotting a genuine Labubu — worth reading before any purchase on the secondary market.
Blind box or guaranteed colourway: two ways to buy
The blind box is the original format: the box is opaque, and the colourway inside is distributed at random among those in the series. That is the principle of the game, and what makes collecting addictive — but you do not choose.
Conversely, some formats are sold with a guaranteed colourway: you order a specific colour and receive that one. That is the case with our plush keychains, available in Soymilk, Lychee Berry, Green Grape, Sea Salt Coconut, Toffee and Sesame Bean.
The choice depends on what you are after. The blind box for the surprise and the hope of landing a rare piece; the guaranteed colourway when you want a specific colour, to match a bag or to give as a gift.
What you can do when it goes wrong
Buying from a professional seller, you have a fourteen-day right of withdrawal on most online purchases, plus the statutory guarantee of conformity if what arrives does not match its description.
A counterfeit sold as an original is a failure of conformity: you are entitled to a refund. Always keep photographs of the parcel as you open it — they are your evidence.
Buying from a private individual, by contrast, none of those protections apply. That is the parameter many buyers discover too late, and it is what justifies the price gap with a professional reseller.
Our position, stated plainly
We are not an official Pop Mart distributor, and we do not claim to be: we are a reseller. What we do guarantee is that every piece has its authenticity verified before dispatch, that our company identity is published, and that returns are possible within thirty days.
That is deliberately less spectacular than the promises you read elsewhere. But in a market where counterfeiting is the rule rather than the exception, a promise that can be kept beats a superlative.
